of our deepest commitments-
it's a lot to expect from each other-
but if we can manage it-
what gifts it brings!-
for after all, truth burns-
love burns-
but it's such a purifying fire-
burns up the debris of our lives-
focuses us-
gives us renewed energy-
and hope-
and finally grows in us a deeper compassion.
