HAIR ANALYSIS
Human hair is a running record of what has been going on in the body
- a kind of nutritional microscope allowing us to peel into the health of the cells that make up our body.
There are approximately 50 nutrients essential for proper nutrition, many are in the family called essential trace
minerals. Each of these trace minerals has many specific roles in optimizing
physiological function. The most common role of these minerals is to facilitate the jobs of the body's chemical workhorses - the
enzymes. Shortages of these essential trace minerals can lead to inefficient
cell function that might ultimately result in disease or infection.
Hair trace mineral analysis is reflective of our total nutritional and physiological environment. Trace mineral
element levels are affected by our total diet, and therefore reflect on all our vitamins, proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
Hair analysis results show excesses and deficiencies of trace elements as well as ratios of one element to another.
The accumulation and assessment of the Toxic Metals like lead, mercury,
aluminum, and cadmium is very important.
Hair analysis is a diagnostic tool used in conjunction with a patients history and dietary survey. It allows a
preventive course of action to be taken before a symptomatic disease results.
